Legislature Approves Stone Measure to Restore Monarch Butterfly and Pollinator Habitat

SACRAMENTO— The Legislature has approved a measure by Assemblymember Mark Stone (D-Monterey Bay) to protect and restore the habitat of California’s iconic monarch butterfly.  AB 2421, which received bipartisan support, provides funds and guidance for farmers, ranchers, nonprofits and public agencies to restore monarch habitats across the state.

Colonel Kurt Schake-Ret. Honored as Veteran of the Year for the 29th Assembly District

SACRAMENTO– Assemblymember Mark Stone (D-Monterey Bay) has designated Colonel Kurt Schake-Ret. as the 29th Assembly District’s Veteran of the Year for his many years of service to the United States and for assisting homeless veterans along California’s Central Coast through the non-profit Veterans Transition Center (VTC).
