SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Rivas (D-Salinas) released the following statement on the historic $262.6 billion state budget approved by the California Legislature today. Once signed by the Governor, the budget will go into effect on July 1 and includes expanded funding for a variety of priorities championed by Asm.

SACRAMENTO – Legislation by Assemblymember Robert Rivas (D-Salinas) to protect Silicon Valley and Assembly District 30 from dam failure passed off the Senate Floor this afternoon with a unanimous, bipartisan vote of 39-0. Assembly Bill 271 will assist the earthquake retrofitting and replacement of Anderson Dam located in Morgan Hill.
