Assemblymember Stone Stands With Veterans

Friday, June 10, 2016

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Mark Stone (D-Monterey Bay) joined a group of veterans and their supporters as they approached the State Capitol in Sacramento after walking more than 150 miles, from Santa Cruz, in 15 days. The walk was dubbed the “Journey for Change” and its goal is to raise awareness to the veteran suicide rate. “The state has been trying to fund veterans’ services officers in each of the counties,” said Stone. “We need to continue to do that and do a better job so that local resources are available to the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
