Winter Storm Resources

Sacramento, CA—On Friday, January 13, 2023, Speaker Designate Robert Rivas (D-Salinas) released the following statement:

“I am heartbroken for the families and individuals impacted by the ongoing winter storms. Our office continues to be in constant communication with local and state officials and to work to disseminate information regarding available resources to the community as we receive it. I am grateful to the public works personnel, first responders, and community volunteers who have been working around the clock to reinforce flood barriers, restore power, and distribute needed supplies to affected residents.

I encourage everyone to continue to be prepared during the ongoing high winds and heavy rains. Please remember to drive safely and responsibly and to follow any law enforcement orders to evacuate immediately. If you have not done so already, it is critical you create a disaster preparedness plan for your household.”
